Website Blocking
Redirect distracting websites to a block page during focus sessions.
While a focus timer runs, navigating a browser tab to a blocked site redirects that tab to a focus block page — a gentle wall between you and the feed.
Blocklist vs Whitelist
Like app blocking, each Project's Block Websites tab has two modes:
- Blocklist — the listed sites are blocked; everything else works normally.
- Whitelist — only the listed sites are allowed; every other site is redirected.
Adding sites
- Type a domain — e.g.
facebook.com. - Wildcards are supported —
*.example.comblocks all subdomains. - Category quick-add — one click adds a whole bundle:

Supported browsers
Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, and Arc. (Firefox uses a best-effort title-based detection.)
Permission required
FocusMo reads and redirects the active tab via Apple Events. The first time it touches each browser, macOS shows an Automation permission prompt — "FocusMo wants to control Safari/Chrome/…". Allow it for every browser you use, or blocking won't work in that browser.
Website blocking, like app blocking, is only active while a session timer is in a working state — never while paused or on a break.
