Menu Bar Planning

A compact plan-your-day popover, one click away in the menu bar.

Left-click the FocusMo menu bar icon (in Productivity Mode) to open the planning popover — a compact version of the day planner that's always one click away.

Layout

An Apple Calendar-style timeline sits beside a task list:

  • The timeline shows your scheduled blocks with a red current-time indicator, solid grid lines, and system colors — it opens instantly from cache.
  • The task list shows unscheduled tasks as flat rows with workspace color dots, external-source labels (project/area/tags), hover-revealed drag handles, and a quick-schedule button.
  • The header has a segmented filter, an inline search field, and an add-task field.

Planning

  • Drag a task onto the timeline to schedule it. Everything snaps to a 5-minute grid, with a live preview showing the snapped position and updated time labels while you drag.
  • Resize blocks to adjust duration — same live preview.
  • Drag-created blocks have a 30-minute minimum.
  • Right-click a task for the full edit modal — duration presets, Project selector, timer behavior override, and the daily-reset pin.

The menu bar icon does more than planning — see Menu Bar for the context menu, update status, and Zen Mode gestures.
