Focus Sessions
Zen Mode
A radically minimal mode — just a timer, no gamification, no noise.
FocusMo has two app modes, switchable in Settings → General → App Mode or from the menu bar:
- Productivity Mode — the full-featured default: tasks, analytics, badges, streaks, celebrations.
- Zen Mode — a radically minimal experience for when even the productivity features feel like noise.
You can't switch modes during an active session — your focus is protected.

What Zen Mode changes
- The timer becomes minimal: just the countdown, no task names.
- All badges, streaks, celebrations, and notifications are suppressed. They're quietly queued and delivered when you switch back to Productivity Mode — you don't lose progress, you just don't get interrupted by it.
- The icon-strip navigation disappears; the menu bar goes minimal.
- Only the plain countdown Timer mode is available (no Stopwatch/Pomodoro).
- The Activity Tracking settings section is hidden.
Setting a duration with a gesture
Zen Mode's signature interaction: drag the floating timer (or drag down from the menu bar icon) to set the session length. A live overlay shows the duration as you drag, with snap points and optional haptic feedback on supported trackpads. Drag to the cancel zone at the top of the screen to abort.
